Autumn in July

The UK weather appears to be suffering from seasonal delusion. Most of June and July it has been under the impression that it is Autumn rather than Summer. Then just as the sun comes out and Summer has arrived I choose that day to look at Autumn Winter clothes. Sometimes a as a blogger I get afforded a nice invitation and one such invitation was to check out the NEXT Autumn Winter 2012 children’s wear range at a bloggers event organised by the folks at NEXT. Bring your children the invitation said, the rain lashed down outside as I read the email. Of course, I accepted. The day of the event dawned to glorious sunshine and heat. It did seem strange to be considering Autumn Winter clothing.

NEXT entertain with the attention to detail you find in their shops. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Thoughtfully, there are children’s entertainers and toys for the kids. As with their clothes the emphasis is on quality. Mums had the time to browse the children’s wear collection, enjoy lunch and avail themselves of the beauty room. Two of the themes of A/W 12 women’s collection are luxe and country chic. Crockwell Farm the venue for the event reflected both. It’s the sort of place I could move to. Tomorrow. Actually, Autumn Winter in July turned out to be lovely.

Disclosure: I was invited by NEXT as a member of their Bloggers Network. NEXT paid for my travel and provided a gift card in order to purchase a NEXT A/W 2012 outfit for the event for myself and my son.

All words and opinions are my own.
